Christchurch:
Life Night: Truth, personhood and Catholicism

Life Night events provide intensive formation in the Christian teaching about pro-life issues. The presenters will be explaining the Church teaching, as well as the latest scientific and social research about these important issues.

Life Nights are a monthly event, starting in May 2008, open to anyone over 18 years of age.

Tuesday 5 August 2008 - 7:30pm
St. Matthew's Parish Hall, 108 Jeffreys Road

Truth, personhood and Catholicism
What is truth?
Is there such a thing as objective truth?
When does personhood begin?
Are personhood and the body two different things?
What makes us different from animals?

These and many more questions will be examined in detail as we explore two very important issues that lie at the heart of Christian pro-life teaching. Not only do these issues impact upon our approach to abortion, but they also have great significance for sexuality and social justice issues.
